Sumisho Motor Finance Corporation is a joint venture company established by Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) and Sumitomo Corporation (Japan). It provides motorcycle financing to individuals, businesses or organizations at an easy-to-acquire and flexible terms. It is under the direct supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and guidance of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). Its head office is located at 12th Floor PSBank Centre, 777 Paseo de Roxas corner Sedeño Street, Makati City.
Sumisho was incorporated on November 26, 2009. After eight years in the business, last August 2017, the PSBank Group transferred 20% of its shares of stocks to GT Capital Holdings, Inc. In December of the same year and also in February 2018, Sumitomo Corporation Philippines followed suit and transferred 10%, in favor of its counterpart company, Sumitomo Corporation Japan.
With its eleven years of operations and partnership with the leading Japanese motorcycle manufacturers such as Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki, Sumisho was able to put up branches and satellite offices nationwide. Currently, it has over 700 dealer partners which allow the company to cater to more customers. Still at the height of its growth and expansion, Sumisho has widened its range of products offered to the riding public. Aside from the Japanese motorcycle brands, Sumisho is already financing two- and three-wheeler vehicles, including high-end units of known European and Asian Motorcycle brands.
